Or collect fresh eggs from our chickens and cook with produce from our organic garden in the newly renovated kitchen. The Farm House is the heart of our estate. Built in 1936 out of local redwood and Carmel stone, the house has since been refurbished to feature 5 bedrooms, a renovated kitchen, and modern amenities.
What would a ranch be without a place for the cowboys? Our rustic Cowboy Cottage is nestled between the main house and the vineyard, surrounding by old oaks veiled in Spanish moss and our lovingly tended fruit orchard.
The Stone House is all that remains of the old stagecoach stop. Built in the late 1800s, this way station was an essential map point for teams crossing the Arroyo Seco Highlands to Carmel.
For a taste of what the cowboys of the old West must have experienced, you can sleep under the stars in style with our Safari Tent. Though far more glamorous than ranch hands would have been accustomed to, our tent affords you the same unpolluted view of the stars and the same soundtrack of crickets and bullfrogs. Note that – due to weather – the Safari Tent is only available April-Thanksgiving each year.

Over the years, our historic property has been lovingly restored so that, today, we’re proud to offer a gourmet country kitchen, a 55 foot pool, lush ornamental gardens, and vast lawns perfect for party games, with several outdoor BBQ areas.
Our ample acreage with distinct living areas comfortably accommodates up to 15 guests, while allowing each a sense of privacy and peace. Mesa del Sol also hosts a number of wild guests including eagles, hawks, hummingbirds, bobcats, and the occasional fox.
The front acreage is devoted to the organic vineyard, which produces award-winning wines that will be available for tasting and sale. In fact, all our guests receive a 20% discount on all bottles purchased during their stay!
